What a joy it was to get your letter and the monkey with it. I hope that the other monkeys here will accept him and that they can live together in peace and harmony.
I’m so grateful that we had the opportunity to speak together on our visits home. It was refreshing to bypass the superficial comments on the weather and get to deeper topics and beliefs that actually matter. I love you and I admire you in so many ways, particularly that you love to be who you are and have no interest in trying to be somebody else.
I have so much hope for you as you continue on your journey because I see in you someone who is sincerely speaking the truth and what is good and beautiful. Jesus says that “All who ask, receive; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks, it shall be opened” (Matt 7:8). So I encourage you my brother: do not be discouraged, but continue to ask and to seek authentically and openly and you will surely find what your heart is looking for and so much more.
You are in my prayers always and I look forward to our next correspondence. I will let you know if the wild monkeys accept the monkey you sent me so that you will know whether or not it is safe to send Gaffy.
“May the lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you,
And have mercy on you.
May he turn his countenance towards you,
And give you peace.”
